Expanding my horizons...

Well I started this blog with the aim of jotting down interesting usability issues and topics regarding Adobe Flex . I've since expanded my horizons to Microsoft Silverlight/WPF and am loving it! The Blend designer is fantastic and exactly what I wanted when designing Flex applications (back in the day)!

MS have followed many of the Macromedia/Adobe design patterns for layout and spacing, except for the funky way they auto size components! Instead of simply saying "width=100%" you have to leave no value for some components, and "auto" for others. However I do like their usage of the * to say size this relative to other grid cells.

Looking forward to the future with the integrated 3D, states AND storyboarding timelines!

Hope people don't go crazy like the early days of Flash(y) animations though!
